I was just a child in school many years and miles from here
I looked out the window and I watched the clock barely
Listened with one ear my foot tapped silently under my desk
To the music in my head then the teacher told a bible story

Well where my world is heaven or hell God gave one wish

It’s the sad soul music or standing by a true friend
