Minus the fears
Loaded into a gun of self doubt and aimed to my ears
And my sleeping dreams were awoke by crashing noise
A truth I don’t wish to know but one for which I’m told to be poised
When the sound had ceased
The crutch was gone on which I’d leaned
Nothing that we craved
Just the things that appeared absent
Life had run it’s course
Passed me by as I reached for safety
My hand without me knowing
That pulled the trigger and took you from me
