On and On

When I wake up I get a shock and wonder
'Bout my mind that’s paralyzed with shame and anger
Everyday’s important aims seems so hard to reach
I have to get away from all my dear old mischief
Try to suppress my past
I’m not the only one who made mistakes
Try to run away from myself
But I can’t get rid of me
On and on, on and on,
Can’t keep a distance of my own
On and on, on and on,
There’s no escape but my only thought’s to run
What I really need is to rearrange my life
And to find a way of leaving old haunts behind
Everyday I start again, another exhausting run
But my former days chase me like a bounty-hunter's gun
