Gravel beats bone
Mouth full of sand
Pushing out into the wind
Dust about his head
Then on the inside
Pull the curtains away
From his face
Always such a waste
Crush it back
Into the ground
Crystallize the final sound
Make it into something seen before
Nevermore
Narrow skin cracks
Through the splintered floors
Breathing echoes back
Catching on the walls
Falling far behind
