A Memory

A memory
That’s all I have left, just a memory
And I’m thinking of how it can end
Tell myself, it’s all in the past
And in time it will mend
Those good times
I always compare to the bad times
And I’ll never have cause to pretend
That the joy and the pain were so real
Counting those years were like days, so it seems
Images flashing as if they were all dreams
And slowly
I’ll come face to face with a memory
Conversations that never will end, without tears
The nights turn to dawn and years

Gazing the old times and places
