Uppu Mutteh Song
Uppu Mutteh sounds whimsical by the title itself — reminded me of the carrying
game that I played as a kid. Carrying my cousins on my back like a sack of salt
= uppu mutteh. Never in my wildest dreams did I predict that a song can be made
using this game and that too conceptualize it into a cheeky love song.
The song is quite catchy and sounds funny as well. TeeJay’s voice is
unrecognizable — his voice is hardened and then softened in the sinusoidal flow
of the song. Nadisha Thomas has a powerful voice and her vocals are good.
The lyrics of Uppu Mutteh depict how the game is played and I can’t help
chuckling at certain verses as the sensation of ‘can one even do a song like
this?' sweeps me. TeeJay looks good and the official music video is just the
depiction on how the song is recorded.
