We used to be so awful at this life
And every dream I thought
I’d always see that right in front of me
I guess we’re all just waiting to die
Prove everyone who said we wouldn’t turn out right

Now you should have thought that
We could do anything right
I’m through with conversation that
It makes me so frustrated when
All the different places, trying to find better ways to

Still with so much left to say
I’ll write down some crappy songs
And convince my friends to sing along but
In the end it makes no difference
I’m wishing I’ve been staring at the ceiling
As I couldn’t find this meaning in it
There’s no way for us to figure out
