and it’s frightening as a loaded gun
and it’s mine to keep
but it’s mine to run from
and silently
some day it will catch up
and finally
it takes the better half of me
from the ones that I love
and it’s sad you see
just how i’ve given up

well half a drink
it turns into one
unraveling
of all that I’ve done

this tragedy
