Four a.m. and clsing to the morning, and it’s ticking in my ears as that clock
on my drawer, slowly winding up my fears
Every car which is passing by my window makes my heart go beating fast
Must have been a thousand ocasions, each time I’ve sworn they’d be the last But
here I’m sitting waiting close to morning and I cannot understand why I tremble
and shiver, shaking my hands’cause I’m just waiting on a friend
Is this the end? I hear the car breaks shrieking in the distance,
as they slow down for the bend
