like a mime troupe (stowin' (?)),
we’re all aging doubles.
we sing,
we danced,
shoes on shoes
to the sound of the spinning
machine.
and we slept arm-in-arm,
so soundly ignoring the outside
sounds of the ongoing horrible scene.
