You lifted me out the miry deep so to speak or say it
You’re always on time, so who am i to delay it?
Gave vision to my eye, the same i spy out and cry out
And when your presence hits a room, i can’t speak
So i tweak these knobs and faders, got no time for bling-bling or playa haters
Its time for me to lay down the pride which abides in my members
Put my career on hold like its gone til november
Not proving something to myself, just take my calling off the shelf and dust it
off
Hoping the date on the back is not expired or the retired life may be my the
option
Thru many a concoction, making beats has been my life
But i find no life in it, only strife in paradise
So, once again, square one is my address and humble abode
And my driveway’s a broad and crooked road

I got a lot of mail, so i set sail with letter opener as my mast

My wallet’s cramping up like legs without potassium
One good thing is that i’m still in style cause thrift shops are in

Can’t spread fast enough, though its pace could beat petty from the line

So i just seal my fate with mediocrity
