Chase It

I woke up and I felt a little different today
The sun was in my eyes but a smile was on my face
I didn’t have any plans
But in my mind I began to understand
That today I was given a chance to make something of me
You know it’s hard to get back up when you’ve been knocked down to the ground
But I heard a small voice from inside of my head
Said if you got a dream
Then chase it

I met an old man and he said that he had a vision
He didn’t have a lot of money but he sure had lots of wisdom
He said I thought I was living but who am I kidding
I always chose to play it safe
I had a dream in my heart
But I chose to hide it away
