Remember then when all we’d need
Was each other and the sun?
I wish I realized that would be
The last time I felt freedom
When everything was all ok
We couldn’t ask for nothing
Until our lives led us astray
And into self destruction
I’m tired of dreaming
About turning back time
I’m sick of leaving
Things I love behind
There’s no returning
To what was before
Now I’m left here yearning
For what is no more
When I wake up I feel alone
Where did everybody go?
Though we claim we’re still so close
We couldn’t be farther from home
Is there a reason for this pain?
Can’t we try again for closure?
Is it just fear that things have changed
Or is it really over?
