Sunshine Soldier

Walking down the street
there’s a sunshine soldier
a penny in his pocket
not a dream to his name
His day has passed, his time has ended
and now he stands in the pouring rain
A child walks by and hands him a flower
And that’s how love is begun
Brothers and sisters embrace each other
A shadow has fallen from the face of man
