God Bless You

My mama told me there’d be days like this
By 31 I figured millions and I knew I’d be rich
But that ain’t true, oh yes it is, in fact I’m rich in spirit
There people say they play my music and they’re blessed to hear it
But it ain’t me who writes, glory to God, He gets the glory
I say His name in everything, in fact it’s mandatory

No approval some may hate us, but His praise is what we sing

I’m not impressed by how you drss and who’s the most fly
I know that most guys would say that we soft

Hey God been blessing me and I don’t even see the reason
His love is infinite and intimate, He knows I need Him

I needed Jesus, I’m so thankful that I found out
He took away addiction in addition cleaned my fowl mouth
All will confess that He is Lord and they will bow down
We don’t even know how blessed that we are
Avoiding things we never see, He took the pain and discord
So, the least that I could do is just acknowledge you
And live a life that gives you glory’s what I promised you
I will never take for granted how you love and what you brought me from
The pain and disdain from other people often had me numb
But now I got a joy, I can’t explain to you
The best that I could do is proclaim His holy name to you
Living a life with our heads in the clouds
Is how you tripping, miss-a-stepping, end up hitting the ground
But you can change it all today by giving Jesus your best
He’ll take you higher, this ain’t fire, this is merely a test
