My Enemy

I awake
it’s bright
my eyes are open wide
I feel confused
just lying in my room
I hear again
The same familiar noise
the radio plays the same old song
There’s no remedy for this,
let me breathe, I can’t move on
this tedious way of life
is pulsing through my vains, oh no!
There’s no way to escape my mind is torn
I’m crying out,
teased by my enemy
but there’s no way out
there’s no shelter
I’m turning paranoid
I’m screaming out
walking on a tightrope
it’s not a game
it’s not my fault
It’s wearing me down again
Ground-hog day again
we always start the same
I move and turn
The phone rings in my head
this endless voice
no matter what it says
it echoes around my prison walls
Without remedy for this,
just one breath cannot conceive
the need for space
I’ve always searched and never found
