Race Along

Another day, another chance to break this habit to beguile
I feel a Spirit rushing
Strengthening my bones with every mile
Simply spoken, it’s a baptismal washing of sorts
And although sweat mars my vision, I’ll stick to the course
I will run, I will run
Towards the goal
I’ll press on and I will claim my holy prize
I’ll press on to this upward call
