Torn from Flesh

I sleep with the dead
My dreams are blood red
They scream through the light
Smoke and ash, corpses pile
Memory flash, mind defiled
Peaceful rain mixed
With blood on the ground
Burning pain shackles me, earthbound
Love and hate make no sense
God is great, false pretense
Lord of storms has all power here
Deadly swarms, deliverers of fear
The scars they wrought
Upon me cannot be seen
When I face oblivion
Will my torment end
Questions rise, who brought down
Our demise, stole the crown
Peace and war, dead to me as stone
Silent roar, I am left alone
My darkest day will never end
I am an outcast from myself
My soul is torn from flesh
I am alive but still I’m dead
