There in a blizzard of ice
An old man is walking
He’s leaving his Eskimo life
And knows where he’s going
Out where the caribou run
This wilderness desert
He sits alone on the ground
Shaking and silent
Something is coming to take him away
Where his long life will be ended
After his life has been taken away
He’ll be reborn returning

Take him to where he’ll be born again

He threw his spear one last time
No longer a hunter
He left his family behind
His work for them over
All his treasures were places in the ground
Wait for his returning
He will be born strong again
A new life beginning
