The crew is starving at their posts
What little crew is left
And the captain’s gone a little mad
Under the extra heft
All the sailors from this port
Are out on other ships
So there is not orders to give
Only rum upon his lips
The skin is peeling on his arms
There’s rust upon his blade
Every event causes them harm
They’re sailing retrograde
Comissions to be taken
Bountys to be pursued
But the crew won’t make it back in time
Which blackens the captain’s mood
Sometimes a crew will scuttle a ship
When the ship’s use is few
But the captain’s gone so mad it seems
